Re: Who is actually our best player?
We'd be massively in the shit this year if it wasn't for Antonio so for me it's him.

Re: Who is actually our best player?
Can't agree Reid has been consistent this season. Played much better since Christmas, granted. Early in the season he was pretty much as bad as the rest of them. We've had a poor defence this season - can't scapegoat right-backs for all of that.

Lanzini and Obiang, with Reid and Carroll close behind.

Re: Who is actually our best player?
We've quite a few who are neck-and-neck - Carroll, Antonio, Reid, Lanzini.

Can't be bothered to choose between those four, as after the next game their order would probably change anyway.

Re: Who is actually our best player?
Reid for me. Our best defender, and his distribution, particularly his long passing, is top notch.
In terms of attacking, either Lanzini or Carroll.

Either way, it's nice that it's no longer just about Payet. The players all seem to have stepped up in his absence.

Re: Who is actually our best player?
I think if everyone is absolutely at there best and injury free then Lanzini, Carroll and Reid are the three who stand out for me. Obviously taking this seasons from into things then Obiang and Antonio are up there as well.

I think if lanzini can add consistency and impact games with goals and assists regularly then we have a serious player on our hands, really hope we can keep him for years and build a team around him, at 24 he's only going to get better.

Re: Who is actually our best player?
Lanzini for me, with bags of potential too he can only get better. Hope he is on a lengthy contract?

Take your pick from Reid, Antonio, Carrol or Lanzini.
Obiang is underated.

Re: Who is actually our best player?
Lanzini playing centrally makes us tick, closely followed by Carroll. Antonio and Reid

Alex V 8:38 Tue Feb 21
Re: Who is actually our best player?
Based on this thread I think Reid is being massively overrated.

Mex Martillo 8:21 Tue Feb 21
Re: Who is actually our best player?
That is a tricky one, but has to be Reid
Yes, Reid over the season and recent games
Carroll also good over recent games
Antonio over early season, but recent games have been disappointing
Lazini best player to watch and i think will one day be our best, but not there yet.
Kouyate and obiang have also has been good
Snodgrass looks like being a good player and is also good to watch
As you can se I like our squad...
Just think we also have Ayer, Noble and Sakho

Re: Who is actually our best player?
"has potential to be in the conversation."

Proper Ron Manager speak, hahha!

On his day, Carroll. Other days, Lanzini. Most days, Reid.

At the end of the day Brian, I dunno! But I'd be most gutted if either of the last 2 left.

Re: Who is actually our best player?
1. Lanzini
2. Reid
3. Nobes

Re: Who is actually our best player?
Reid, could never be Carroll, just misses too many games. Until he manages 25 games plus, three seasons on the bounce, he will be an expensive luxury
